“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it’s all within yourself, in your way of thinking.” – Marcus Aurelius
Last night I walked up three flights of stairs to the third floor of our boutique Hotel where the pool resides. I looked out over the pools calm still waters and asked the Universe for a safe ride for all 11 of us while we ride in Costa Rica. This part of our world now serves as our classroom.

All of the guys here now have simplified their lives to just one passion – motorcycles! Why? Because motorcycles offer up real world interaction opportunities like the kind that starts tomorrow.

Our monkey brains often overthink, worry, and view situations more negatively than they are in reality. That’s why bad news always leads, and most of you don’t ride Mexico.

It recently occurred to me that in my motorcycle riding world I have become one with dog. Dog puts his nose out the window, breathes in the air deeply and relaxes themselves in the process.
It takes a certain amount of time, effort, skills and a whole wad of cash to change this aging brain to a new way of living in the moment; but, I simply taught my old mind new tricks.

There is a saying— When the student is ready, the teacher magically appears—and in our case today, Heiner from Ultimate Rides Costa Rica showed up to give us a briefing about our upcoming six day ride. Three days of enduro and three days of street riding.
Tomorrow we ride!
