One year in the distant future I may just look back on 2020 and wonder how in the world did I become such a great car and motorcycle driver/rider.
Rider vs Driver what is the difference? Think about it for a moment. Now think about how you sit.
In driving your legs are together whereas in riding your legs are apart. No wonder we enjoy riding so much.
Who in their right mind does not like having their legs spread apart, to be one with nature, “a” natural?
On a bike it’s easy, on a motorcycle it’s just about right but, imagine riding a horse. Thank goodness man invented bicycles and then motorcycles.

In my humble opinion everything and anything worth doing should be done; and in order to get done should also be written down.
ENTER MY LIST OF DRIVES.
Recently I planned to take a little road trip on my newly acquired 2001 Z06 Corvette.
And since I haven’t updated the blog in a while I’m now number 3 into a list of 25 road trips completed.
The first road trip took me to the poppy fields of Lancaster California by way of the Pearblossom Highway, Wrightwood, and country and desert roads.
The second drive took me to the top of Mt Baldy through the city of Upland California.
The third drive took me to Oak Glen California, Moms Orchard, apple pie country and even rain, cooler weather and fog.
And just in case you think I’ve forgotten what’s going on in the rest of the world as I continue to rip the open roads taking advantage of the low fuel prices and apparent lack of road traffic here it goes.
On the home front, the entire city of Los Angeles and adjoining cities (April 2020) are in a curfew lockdown on account of riots.
The entire supply of some cities drinking water had been mysteriously polluted; a giant bubble has formed around the White House and Globally, there have been 6.7 million confirmed coronavirus cases and nearly 400,000 deaths since the Covid 19 outbreak began late last year.
NOW BACK TO MY REALITY
Just think Sunday drives but only way better, and planned but, with a destination in mind.
The newest destination I added to my list came to me after watching an old episode of Top Gear. My planned future drive is so new to me I haven’t yet added it to the Corvette drive list.
Out in Nevada on this rather obscure location is a tennis shoe tree. I could go on and on about what the hell is a tennis shoe tree but, like they say a picture is worthy of a thousand words.
Soon my own old pair of shoes will swing in the wind.
