The cruising life is great for meeting good people. Today, while walking over to check on a boat (S/V Journey) to see if they departed for La Paz, I start talking to (S/V Millie) out of Seattle. Jim, Amy & their dog Lucky B. are onboard. A quick boat tour of their beautiful aluminum sailboat and in no time, the four of us catch the local (Urbano) former school bus to town. Twelve pesos per person to board. Just down the road from the central church in San Jose de Cabo we walk up this dirt road into a grassy area where music is now playing. The locals and gringos every Saturday meet here to display and sell their great organic foods, eggs, and other handmade crafts. The two girls in the picture above wanted to be included in the picture of their organic recyclable display; everything we make is always recycled, they say. And this is our second outing of the day.
Patti could not resist getting the Karman Ghia in the picture. Where have all the bugs gone? We ask, but, no one seems to know. Tonight it’s a fish potluck dinner on the Western Flyer. Wishing you too were here!
