Shopping for Produce

Shopping for produce in Mexico

In this clip the family goes produce shopping, no, not Mexico, but, at a South Florida flea market in search of white cheese and bell peppers.  One of the things I plan on doing when we get to LaPaz is learning and experimenting with as many Mexican ingredients as possible.  You know the type of products I’m referring to, i.e. prickly pear cactus, avocado leaves, plantains, dried chilis and more.  If you haven’t tried them, then don’t knock them; chicharrones, basically a deep-fried pork rind.  The result after first consumed is an addicting type of salty snack that is not only great for snacking but, makes a great add-on to salads or soups.
