“The Crew of the Western Flyer”

Subject: The Crew of the Western Flyer

A saltier group of guys could not be found.  A merchant marine, USCG, and diesel mechanic – all on the same boat!  Outstanding!

These guys all have a love for the sea, the environment, and an addictive lifelong affliction only curable through intensive cruising, over long periods similar to the recently completed voyage of bringing the Western Flyer from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles, California.

Ladies please note: Complete cures are possible, though very, very rare.

Yeah right! – the first time I hand the waitresss my camera to take a picture of us; and I’m the one not eating healthy!  The other three are eating shrimp and crab salads – what the hell was I thinking.

Santa Barbara, California – travel from Alaska through Canada, down the US coast line and you will not find a more friendlier picturesque city than Santa Barbara that is until you get to San Diego.
