While the neighborhood is getting ready to go river cruising some of us thought we were getting left behind to catch up on boat projects. Then suddenly Mark and Dianne show up and offer to cruise with me around the island. This mornings project of installing two hinges on an errant flybridge cabinet door took way to long. First the screws broke getting the old rusty hinge off then the new hinge was a little longer and required a little shaving and sanding work to get her done. Before long the newly cleaned flybridge was once again covered in saw dust, tools and in disarray and so was I.
New dinghy sitting on the fly bridge.
Now that we are safely back in the slip its a great feeling to not have ripped off my masthead light while taking her out of this covered slip. Zero dollars $$ If you recall I cut off 16 inches of mast height and thought I may not have cut off enough.
Also, bringing her back in safely is a good thing considering i don’t really have much experience pulling a twin screw in and out of the slip. Again Zero dollars $$
Thus is a great feeling knowing she performed well and is comfortable in and out of the dock.
The expression on my face after taking her out since the completion of the hardtop project is PRICELESS to me.
See, I told you two a trawler looks good on you!
