Frozen Portland – Winter 2013

Subject:  Frozen Portland

My Patti tells me she is a fifth generation Californian, like that means something to me.  I quickly point out that up until recently she has never seen snow fall, viewed the Grand Canyon or fail to blow up like a blow fish when bitten by mosquitoes.  That last one is not something to brag about but quite relevant to the caretaker – me.

Be it a mosquitoe from Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, BVI, all of Florida and its keys, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo and most recently even Yellowstone – she has now experienced getting bit like the rest of us without until recently blowing up like she was snake bit.

Seems she managed to live all these years in California without ever once getting bit.   In St. Thomas I rushed her to the emergency room or rather we quickly walked there.  Now all she does is take Dramamine in small doses before getting mosquitoe bit.  Sooooo, what does this have to do with frozen in Portland?  SHE GOT TO SEE SHOW FALL!  Another first.  DSCF5050 DSCF5052 DSCF5055 DSCF5056 DSCF5070 DSCF5075
