Boat projects

Unlike other people that find a boat, order a survey, then buy the boat I chose to do the survey after buying the boat I wanted (for a really, really good price).  My surveyor gave me what ultimately became my project list.  Her list of to-do or survey items became the list I started to work off of. DSC00542 Like for example what you are looking at above.  This is what the bottom of the anchor winlass looks like.  Currently it is off the boat, some of the parts are in Portland while others are somewhere else.  When I next see it the bottom will be powder coated with a new anchor motor and the top sides will have new stainless steel replating making it look like it just came out of the box.
